On August 7, 2016 I went to Como, a sparkling city along the lake where Alexander Volta invented the battery. It is a very wealthy area of Italy and which was specialised in silk production and banking. With the current refugee crisis, the station has become a base camp where people, mainly from Eritrea, are expecting a better future by passing the Swiss border.
Many of very young and was the courage it took to leave their country, could be seen as the future entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
The refugees keep their belongings at the station, orderly, all in-line, without surveillance. Then, they spend the day in the park at the bottom of the steps

Some refugees speak English but not all Italians do. The common language is spending a few moments together laughing
This is by far the only means they have to stay connected with their families but also to stay informed about the passageways
Many have traveled very lightweight. Donors, people of those Como and Ticino have brought clothes and shoes for these people.
